Triple Crown Glory. What you put on your credential matters.

What is a Triple-crown Accredited Degree? And how can it boost your career?

Planning book a hotel? You read reviews and ensure that it is of the highest possible standard. Need an Uber? You ensure that your driver has good ratings Looking to dine at a good restaurant? You ensure there are good reviews.

So why should your education be any different? It is important that as a prospective student, you are enrolled in an institution that is of the highest standard. But how can you tell which ones are so?

While sourcing for your preferred degree, it is important to look out for these three words: Triple Crown Accreditation. Any university with a Triple Crown Accreditation is one that is of great quality, prestige and recognition.

Triple-crown accredited schools belong to an exclusive group. Only 0.6% of the 13,000 business schools worldwide are Triple-crown accredited. University College Dublin’s College of Business is one of 77 business schools that belong to that exclusive group.1

There is a lot of work and effort that goes behind earning such an accreditation. The accreditation is awarded by the three largest and most influential business school accreditation associations. These associations are The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Association of MBAs (AMBA), and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).

AACSB accredits management and accounting programmes while AMBA specifically focuses on the business schools’ MBA programmes. Meanwhile, EQUIS’s scope focuses on the business school. The rigorous accreditation process can take up to seven years. As such, UCD’s accreditation proves that the school’s academic programmes are of high quality and that the faculty possess excellent qualifications.

In order to be a triple-crown accredited school, UCD also needs a solid curriculum with clear learning objectives. Triple-crown accredited schools attract not only great students but also highly-qualified researchers and teachers. This means that academic programmes are more relevant, refined and insightful.

Essentially, at Triple-crown accredited schools, students are guaranteed an excellent education. Additionally, graduating from such a school will improve your career prospects as academic degrees by triple-crown accredited schools like UCD will be recognised and highly regarded globally.2

When you graduate from an accredited school, you know that you are leaving the school with knowledge that will be well-suited for a business environment that is always undergoing disruption – and the skills to tackle these challenges.

What you put on your credential matters. Select from a suite of disciplines that matches your career aspirations by enrolling in the University College Dublin’s (UCD) Bachelor of Business Studies (Honours) or Master of Science Degree programmes.
